I have finally found a writer on The Philosophy Of Freedom who really writes out of the original spirit of the book; Michael Muschalle. Not only that, his work is thoroughly informed and intended to make the book accessible to the average reader. His website is www.studienzuranthroposophie.de/ (English translated site). Others who write about Steiner's freedom philosophy always put up barriers to understanding by explaining it in typical anthroposophy speak of lofty unattainable levels of clairvoyance. The problem is that most of his website is in German in need of translation into English. I plan on trying to do touched up computer translations if possible. If you know German and would like to help, contact me.
Some of the article topics that appear on his website that need translating:
Rudolf Steiner's philosophy of freedom An Introduction by Michael Muschalle
Thinking as a source of human freedom, An empirical study of intuitive thinking by Merijn Fagard
Practical introduction to the observation of thinking by Merijn Fagard
ENGLISH Goethe, Kant and Intuitive Thinking in Rudolf Steiner's Philosophy of Spiritual Activity by Michael Muschalle

WOW, A Writer Who "Gets" The Philosophy Of Freedom: Michael Muschalle

"WOW, A Writer Who wants to look at The Philosophy Of Freedom in the same way I do: Michael Muschalle"

I mean "gets" because the philosophers Muschalle and Fagard read the Philosophy Of Freedom as it is in its original intention without inserting into it Steiner's later conversion to theosophy. So you could say that I am a Philosophy Of Freedom originalist, while others seem to be revisionists.
I am not opposed to revisionism as I would be a revisionist in regards to the interpretation of the US constitution.
It depends on your intentions. I am interested in a broad readership of POF. Steiner himself says in the 1918 revised preface that POF was intended also for those who have no interest in his later work. In fact it was written before the existence of his later work and conversion to theosophy. At the time of writing POF he had disdain for theosophists and spiritualists for being non-scientific. To properly present it to the vast majority of people who have no interest in theosophy you have to avoid inserting theosophy ideas into it, merely using it to promote a particular belief. That is like the Catholics using Christ's teachings to merely promote and justify their particular religion rather than presenting it to humanity in its fullness.
