Below are the first words of Rudolf Steiner in the original beginning of the Philosophy of Freedom.
CHAPTER I
THE GOAL OF KNOWLEDGE
Principles Of Individualistic Life
1. Free Oneself From Authority
An energetic effort is being made to shake off every kind of authority.
2. Power Of Individual Expression
Nothing is accepted as valid, unless it springs from the roots of individuality. Everything which hinders the individual in the full development of his powers is thrust aside.
3. Leaderless Striving
The saying “Each one of us must choose his hero in whose footsteps he toils up to Olympus” no longer holds for us.
4. Individual Selection Of Ideals
We allow no ideals to be forced upon us.
5. Individual Worthiness
We are convinced that in each of us, if only we probe deep enough into the very heart of our being, there dwells something noble, something worthy of development.
6. Rejection Of Conformity
We no longer believe that there is a norm of human life to which we must all strive to conform.
7. Perfection Of Each Individual
We regard the perfection of the whole as depending on the unique perfection of each single individual.
8. Unique Contribution
We do not want to do what anyone else can do equally well. No, our contribution to the development of the world, however trifling, must be something which, by reason of the uniqueness of our nature, we alone can offer.
9. Creative Expression
Never have artists been less concerned about rules and norms in art than today. Each of them asserts his right to express, in the creations of his art, what is unique in him.
10. Dynamic Language
There are dramatists who write in dialect rather than conform to the standard diction which grammar demands.
11. Striving Towards Freedom
No better expression for these phenomena can be found than this, that they result from the individual’s striving towards freedom, developed to its highest pitch.
12. Independence
We do not want to be dependent in any respect, and where dependence must be, we tolerate it only on condition that it coincides with a vital interest of our individuality.

What???????????????????????
the God of Love sees no masses, no unfree people ... no people outside of any Way ... each individual biography is perfect, created expressly just for that person ... each individual is to follow their own individual Way ...
No one is better, no one is worse ... to the Being of Love Rudolf Steiner is no more significant than a thug running a brothel in Thailand ... all are precious ...
At the same time, human evolution proceeds by invention, by creation, and some artists in the creation have been given greater gifts, such that to them fall greater responsibilities ... poets and philosophers make new language - they invent concepts ... yet they do this not at the behest of the Creator - the God of Love - they do this because that was their gift ... and they can no more not do this than they cannot breath ...
only our lame comparative mind thinks some things are greater than others ...
all the same, such concept-creation can fail - like any of us, whether saint or sinner, we can fail to be all that lies within our gifts ... the Anthroposophical Society failed - does Steiner bear any responsibility for that?
When the Sun (the symbol of Love in the form-speaking of the material world) sets each night, the stars (the symbols of all the seeds of the Father in the form speaking of the world) come out, first a few and then many. When all are present, no one is more significant than any other.
Few need to travel their Way though encountering Steiner - whether one is lucky or lost by not knowing Steiner is irrelevant ... things of fate and karma and destiny just are ...
Yet, Love touches everywhere and everyone, whether Steiner student or not. When those who know of Steiner think he is the be all and the end all of anything, then the Father of Lies wins something in our hearts we would rather not give away, should we really understand the cost to us to raise Steiner up and those not him down ...
I don't think the video is
I don't think the video is about what your abstract concept "God of Love" sees.
Philosophy of Freedom
This video is "awesome" and loooonnnng overdue :-)
way
After looking at the video Free Thinking Wayseer I get the feeling that u'r promoting it as 'the only way' to freedom. That I don't like. It's too pushing, leaving away the element of freedom, which is unfortunately I think.
I'm simply human
My impression of the video is that it just talks about a generic Way that includes all paths. I revised the original video to add the Steiner quote that implies that Steiner's path to free thinking, "pure thinking", is an answer to the brain problem when the video correctly points out that brain programming is a barrier to freedom.
Of course the best path to make progress toward freedom is always the one you are willing to take. I find Steiner's path in the Philosophy of Freedom unique because it is fundamentally (a thinking) humanist, which means you don't have to bring in all the bells and whistles and imaginary beliefs, but can remain within the human being and science to find your true self.
