Purchase 1922 Hoernle translation (wait for complete download to be taken to book page, $26.56.) of the Philosophy of Spiritual Activity available at Kessinger Publishing. Then type onto computer. Digital version will be posted here as each chapter is done to help with the translation project and likely at the Rudolf Steiner Archive when done making it available to everybody.

Great. You could open a journal for a chapter and then make additions to the Journal when you want to by selecting "edit" on the Journal. Or you could email it to me using contact and I will post it. I will create a place for it online with chapter links.
I enabled a text editor to your account that you will see when you post. To clean up the text before posting so it works online select the clipboard symbol with a "yellow T" in it. Then paste the text in this box that opens. This will clean up and remove everything except the plain text.
You are typing the 1922 Hoernle after Hoernle revised it with the 1918 Steiner revisions. I can also revise what you type by removing the 1918 revisions and adding what Steiner deleted so we get a copy of the 1916 Hoernle original POF. Then we will have both the original POF and the revised POF online. Only a very few have read the 1922 Hoernle and almost no one has seen the original POF so this should be much appreciated.

I've posted the Editor's Note to my journal -- I'm not sure if I understand about the yellow T you mention. Perhaps you can let me know if I need to post differently.
Did you type the Hoernle
Did you type the Hoernle directly into the Journal without pasting it in? Your Journal is clean of extra html that comes when you copy and paste a word ducument into the Journal. If you click on "source" on the text editor box you will see the html and also get spell check. Pasting anything in from word needs to be cleaned up through the yellow T box first.

I typed it in directly; for the rest I plan to type into a text file -- is there any advantage to doing it in Word?
Typing it in Word is fine
Typing it in Word is fine but you will need to paste it into the yellow T box to take out all the Word html when you post it into a Journal.
my preference it .txt
My preference is actually to avoid Word's formatting intrusions by using a plain text editor; that's what I've done so far. I was going to take up John's offer of proofing anyway so maybe the issue doesn't arise.
Proofing?
I get variable results with the T paste-button. I usually use the W Word-paste-button. The W button does well with .doc formatting but cannot deal with the .docx format from Word 2007.
Richard, would you like me to proof read your texts? I am in any case bound to read Hoernle as part of the translation project.
I have no access to your posts so I cannot interfere with them, and you may of course prefer to keep busy-bodies like me away from your work. If you would appreciate the support of a second pair of eyes, Tom may be able to make the technical adjustments. Otherwise we could organise a way to do it before you post your work.

It seems good to have someone proof-read -- I thought that first one was ok, I missed the mistake so that proves the point. I see my role as simply to mechanically convert printed page to paper so I'm not concerned to avoid interference. I have the Preface to Revised Edtion (1918) ready for proofing now... shall I send it to you? How?
