Steiner's fundamental act of inner mental gymnastics for bootstrapping oneself into the realm of the real is like the above illustrated situation. RS's trick is creating yourself and seeing yourself, both done at the same time by the grace of a moment of thinking strenuously. The understanding that one has just performed the above mental gesture carries many entailments, not the least of which could well be (as in cartoon) wondering if you are a line or a space. But at least after you've done your Steiner gymnastics you are in a position to go on to weigh up such entailments and the entailments they entail! The path is endless thereafter. The process is very reflexive and ultimately utterly nonconditional.I like it.
This is highly PoF pertinent
