Transformation

Dear friends, I would like to share with you one of my poems. My daughter Anna helped me to translate it. If you find any mistakes, please correct me :)

***

Words left unsaid,

pile up on your lips,

searching for a way out…

Feelings left unexpressed

pile up in your chest

locking your heart with a key…

Thoughts left unfinished

fall

like hurt birds fall from the sky…

The night is coming,

silent and dark

the answers begin to show…

I free my thoughts

Like birds from a cage,

I let them fly above

With wings of love

From the high

They look for an oasis,

Amongst the dry desert –

The desert of passiveness…

I let my feelings grow like flowers,

Creating beautiful gardens

Where anybody can find shelter

Anybody - who is looking for a chill…

Words are dancing,

                            happily skipping

                                                    beating the rhythm

meeting in a conversation with you

                                                       creating poems

English detail

Thank you for this jewel Olga.

The line:
From the high
is an unusual form.  More usual might be:

From on high

or

From the heights

But this is a POEM so language does not have to conform to any norms. Don't fix it if it isn't broken. An unusual twist or turn of language blows a refreshing awakening breeze through the soul.

The line
Anybody - who is looking for a chill…
       is a great awakener.

Thank you John!

Thank you John!

Thanks Olga, lovely Poem

Hi Olga,

It is a lovely poem that you have written and your daughter has helped translate.  Poetry, being one of my first loves, is always appreciated.  It's wonderful to experience words dancing on the page.

Cheers,
Patri

Hi Patri,

Poetry publication

Hi Olga,

That sounds like a great idea, good luck with it.  In the meanwhile we are fortunate to enjoy some of  your and your daughter's poetry here on the PoF website.

Cheers,
Patri
