Assisting a soul to make the transition at death
Read John 11:1-27 The fifth I Am saying is this: Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me [I AM], though he die, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in me [I AM] shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25f
The journey of life is all about separation, initiation, and renewal. Renewal is of course a raising up, a resurrection.
Our birth is a separation, our life is an initiation and our death is a renewal, a resurrection.
Jesus uses his response to Martha to speak to us about the resurrection power that is available to us through our I AM. The two examples of this are the two different types of death in the gospel of St John; the death and revival of Lazarus and the death and resurrection of Christ. One revives the physical body and one resurrects to a spiritual body. Both speak of initiation.
How interesting that we should be at this point in our reflections on the I AM sayings as we celebrate the passing of our friend Michael who was born into spirit a few days ago (5.7.2003).
We can assist Michael’s soul to awaken in the spiritual worlds. It is through his I AM that Michael will become conscious – “he who believes in me (I AM), though he die, yet shall he live”. We are dedicating all the love and light we can generate in this gathering to him. We pray that he awakens and becomes as conscious as possible, as soon as possible.
We can use our imagination to be conscious of Michael’s being expanding into the region between the earth and the moon as he begins the journey of his new life. Because he so loved The Centre, and Rev Mario and his teachings, Michael will long for the sustenance he experienced with us. We can be of great assistance to him. When we read the teachings Michael will draw near to learn. He will be able to learn more now that he is free of his physical brain. He in turn can give us new understandings because he now participates in the spiritual worlds where truth is unfettered by physical constraints. We should also bring him to mind in our prayer.
Michael has now shed his physical vehicle and so he lives in his etheric body. Its forces, no longer required to maintain the physical body, are now dedicated to the review of his earthly life. This is what Michael has been doing over the last few days.
If all things go according to the cosmic plan, today his etheric will start to separate from his astral. Part of it he will take with him as he journey’s further, part of it he will leave behind in the earth’s atmosphere. Because Michael has been so devoted to Christ for so many years his etheric is a living force.
Over the next few days Michael will be giving a great gift to this earth. His Christed etheric forces with be deposited in the etheric sphere of this earth and will enliven it. We give thanks to Michael for this gift. It is an important gift because so many people ignore the etheric presence of Christ and this causes the etheric sphere around this world to harden.
Indeed, every soul that becomes aware of the etheric presence of Christ during his life leaves such a great gift for this world when they die. This is the resurrection power of the I AM at work.
Over the next few months thoughts of Michael may come to you, at these moments think of him with love and with gratitude for all that he gave, his devotion, his quiet giving attitude. These are the things that help his soul dwell in the spiritual light and keep the darkness away.
When someone we know and love finishes their earthly life it is good to contemplate that the absence of a physical body does not mean that the soul is absent. “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live” - The I AM is eternal, the Christed I AM is indestructible – and whoever lives and believes in me- the I AM - shall never die. And then Jesus says, “Do you believe this?” can you feel him saying it directly to you. “Do you believe this?” For believing it has great power.
Jesus spoke these words just before he demonstrated the power of the I AM to revive, to resurrect, to raise up life. Michael has now been raised up. We can assist him on his journey to a higher, resurrected life so that when he returns to this earth again he will be a greater co-worker with Christ. “Do you believe this?”
