At Tobias the teaching of art and therapy complement each other. Our approach offers students a radically different experience of colour, line and form. Ours is a phenomenological approach which is applied to both inner and outer worlds. The ancient mystery maxims of 'as above, so below as inner, as outer' are explored through theoretical studies, observation, cultivation of the senses and extensive artistic practice. This experience is based on the central idea that art is not just a subjective expression of the artist, but can be an objective portrayal of subtler realities. Art is a key to a unified grasp of all experience.
"The true mystery of the world is in the visible, not the invisible" Oscar Wilde
