Hello Everyone,

 Where to begin? I had a wonderful retreat sitting in a rocking chair on the front deck of a house on a beautiful small island, just me and a few friends and the sea. I took “Knowledge of the Higher Worlds” with me and somehow it sang out in its majesty, just by being in nature helped me to experience it more fully. Sometimes one needs to step back, to be quiet, to let whatever needed to be, to come to one in quiet acceptance. It has been wondrous, what a gift life is in all its complexities!  After my return, I have been reading the website off and on, so have been keeping up with what has been going on, plus exchanging emails with good friends from the PoF website. 

 

Life is such a great mystery. The gift is love, it has always been love, and I have read a lot of talk about love on this website. How do we love the other in a way that holds them up and respects who they are? Is love some kind of wimpy longing and trying to hold the other even in their weakness and destructiveness (or your weakness and destructiveness) or is it something much more? When I think of Christ, I don’t imagine an ethereal man, holding out his hand in love, I see a strong being, a strong face, with dark eyes of the cosmic sun, and a strong cosmic light blinding in its intensity shining all around, and the love that shines through here is a love of redemption through truth. To be brave enough to see the truth of who we are in all our greatness and all our deformities of self that need to be realized and released. Through the study of the Philosophy of Freedom one can experience waking up to the moment of each here and now. There is always a present happening, someone who loves us beside us, or someone who loves us visiting us in our thoughts, in our imagination. If there is a shadow that looms, it is the shadow of doubt (doubt be gone!).

 

We are all such complex beings. Relationship is all. Relationship to ourselves, to others, to nature, to the spiritual world, and the symphony that sings out into the cosmos that is each of us. Maybe sometimes this symphony is really beautiful and sometimes it clangs with untruth.

 

OK, life is also difficult, life is a constant battle with the unknown, there are always challenges, and if one is able to see things in truth, the mystery and challenge of life can be its greatness. I remember a play by Arthur Miller (“After the Fall”) in which one of the characters gives a speech (I think it is the character “Holga” who supposedly was based on Miller’s wife, Inge Morath). In the speech Holga is relating to her new lover how she copes with her past and lives her life in the present. Towards the end of the speech she acknowledges a dark mistake she made in the past (this was in Germany during WWII). She acknowledges a wrong decision she made that had dire consequences for someone else, and how she learned to kiss her mistake, and it did not have the power it had before, and now she is able to live fully in the present. It’s a beautiful monologue.

 

I was thinking of Sunbear’s post (Sunbear where are you?) when he asked, “where do you read PoF?” As I remember his question stayed around for a while, then I thought he means this in fun, and then the whole thing took off and it was so fun, so funny. I remember sitting at my desk at work laughing my head off.

 

There are some people on this website who have been writing out of the consciousness soul, Simon was one of them, he wrote straightforward consciousness soul revelation (remember his post on Personal Advantage).   It is interesting how PoF, Spiritual Science, and Anthroposophy live in the life of each individual pursuing this path. Getting to grips with the consciousness soul is a real recognition of one’s SELF as an individual and our common humanity and spirituality. Also, to support others in whatever way is given to me by karma and destiny.
