Unfamiliar voices in familiar territory

I found two articles that I am sure will interest students of living thinking. I have recently been introduced to a news service in the UK that debunks the distractions laid across our paths by the media. It is interesting to become aware of others who are striving in the field of thinking. These are in a section of cogitations.

Mind Training part 1

Mind Training part 2

I am not endorsing the views expressed in these articles that are rooted in current political issues. I wish to invite discussion of the many directions that are available in our cosmopolitan culture for training the thinking. What value do they have for those of us who are actively promoting PoF and anthroposophy?

Training Thinking

This is great, thanks John.  Personally I think there can never be enough of this kind of thing in the world so having more of a diversity of methods and approaches is a very good thing which will benefit more people.  The anecdotes about how third-world cultures are enticed into a western economic model are rather telling I think.

I was interested to see that the writer saw the benefit of the breathing exercise being an increased ability to observe thoughts and not get caught up in their flow - that certainly has connections to the approach that PoF creates in us, I think.

And the picture of whacking the pigs on the nose when they stick their snouts into the kitchen is very amusing!
