        Philosophy of Freedom

     Fellowship

The Philosophy of Freedom Fellowship is not an external institution or set of regulations. It is, instead, a shared interest in a view of the world based on Freedom, or more accurately as “a view of the world based on spiritual activity, on action, on thinking and feeling that arise from the individual human spirit” as described in Rudolf Steiner’s Philosophy of Freedom.

It is a Fellowship of self-awareness and mutual recognition, entered into through a disposition, an attitude of soul which most clearly expresses the ideal of human worth and dignity.

Within this Fellowship are those whose purpose is to serve others by addressing the current need expressed by many for online and in-person study, community, and outreach inspired by this freedom philosophy.

This web page is for the discussion of issues related to serving the members and public.

The Staff
is a loosely organized group of volunteers who contribute through four working groups according to their selected interest; Communication Services, Member Services, Public Services, and Technology Services. Anyone can become a staff member by contacting Member Services through "contact".

Communication Services
Support for an open-minded contemplative quality of conversation, an education program, newsletter, and front page.

Member Services
Encourage and support participation by all as writers, artists, or group moderators and coordinate volunteers.

Public Services
Get the word out to the public about programs and services offered.

Technology Services
Installation and support of the new communication tools.

It is the hope of the Staff to "enthuse each human being" as expressed in this verse by Rudolf Steiner:

I want with cosmic spirit
To enthuse each human being
That a flame they may become
And fiery will unfold
The essence of their being.

The other ones, they strive
To take from cosmic waters
What will extinguish flames
And pour paralysis
Into all inner being.

O joy, when human being's flame
Is blazing, even when at rest.
O bitter pain, when the human thing
Is put in bonds, when it wants to stir.
-Rudolf Steiner

It has been very useful to look at the number of reads that current threads receive. They have informed my choice of topic in the Anthroposophy Group for example.
